More Videos
This page is all about videos produced or presented by other people / groups that I’ve come across which feature fun group activities.
They are categorised according to the type of activity, click the link to view them (a video will open in a new window).
Check back here often, because the collection will grow each month.
Ice-Breakers
- Bum-Steer – sneaky opening exercise which will catch your group off guard. All you need is toilet paper!
- Alphabet Get To Know You – simple conversation starter that can be adapted in many ways.
Warm Ups / Stretches
- Aerobic Striker – fast paced, very active team activity that will definitely raise your group’s heart beat.
- Invasion Games – two simple, modified versions of highly-active invasion games using soft balls.
- Hoop Pass – also known as Circle The Circle, a simple co-operative stretch in which participants pass a hula hoop around the circle without letting go of hands.
- Pac-Man – a tag game that is structured much like a Pac-Man video game, where chasers and chasees can only move about on the lines of a basketball court.
FUNN Games
- Gimme Gimme – teams compete to be the first to produce a series of ordinary and not-so-ordinary items.
- Dollar Jump – great time-filling, crazy stunt that looks easier to do that it is to achieve.
- Clap Trap - mesmerizing partner / group activity that’s as easy to enjoy as it is to fail (presented by Karl Rohnke).
- Frisbee Golf – excellent adaptation of what is normally an outside game (tossing frisbees from one net to another over long distances), delivered in a confined space.
De-inhibitizers
- Body-Parts Game – small groups attempt to place on the ground only theose parts of their anatomy nominated by the leader (variation of People To People, No Props p73)
- One Foot Fighting – paired activity in which one-legged partners attempt to bring the other off-balance (rather than “fighting”). Recommend engagement divided by line on floor.
Group Problem-Solving Activities
- Helium Stick – an innovative group initiative that will test your group’s ability to focus and co-operate as they attempt to lower a stick sitting on their fingers.
- Blind & Mute Line-Up – classic line-up exercise, but without sight and talking. Lots of variations.
- Hoop Pass – a problem-solving adaptation of a warm up (listed above), that challenges a group to pass a hula hoop around a circle of people holding hands as quickly as possible.
